Recently my life has changed dramatically for the better. No, I did not get a better job, nor did I finally get married to that special someone. I did not just move into my first house. What happened is I bought a bidet attachment and now my butt is cleaner than ever. To be specific I purchased Luxe Bidet Neo 120 on amazon. If you want the best toilet experience you need a bidet.

A bidet to put it simply is a what should clean your rear end after the food you ate exits your body. Instead of toilet paper a bidet shoots a stream of water in order to clean your butt. If you had mud on your driveway would you rather wipe it off with newspaper or take out the pressure washer?

The idea of using a bidet may be foreign to many Americans but it is the norm in many countries. Did you know that 97% of homes in Italy have a bidet? Other European countries and Japan also has a very high rate of bidet use.

Many countries are just starting to widely use toilets, in fact 70% of people in India do not have access to a toilet. In the United States there is a similar problem with the vast majority of people not having access to a bidet.

I do not remember how I even came across the Luxe Bidet Neo 120, but when I saw I could purchase a bidet that can easily be installed in minutes I knew I had to buy it. It does not require electricity, it operates on water pressure alone. It is everything I could have hoped for and my butt is cleaner than ever and the device will pay for itself in toilet paper savings. Barely using toilet paper anymore also means no more clogged toilets. It also has a self cleaning feature.

Installation of the Luxe Bidet Neo 120 was incredibly simple and consisted of simple steps.

Here is a quick run down of the installation process:

  1. turn off the water valve next to the toilet
  2. Flush the toilet to empty the tank
  3. Unscrew the water hose at the tank
  4. Screw in the included T-adapted at the tank and re-connect the water hose
  5. Take off the toilet seat
  6. Align the bidet over the screw holes and put the toilet seat back on
  7. Attach the included water hose to the t adapter and the bidet

I am certainly no plumber and was able to install the bidet in under 20 minutes.

Do yourself a favor and buy a bidet. The short and long term benefits of the bidet will be well worth it.

To me the water temperature is perfectly comfortable but many will insist on having an adjustable temperature. If you have a hot water line near you may want to buy the very similar Luxe Bidet Neo 320 which has both adjustable temperature and a female mode.

If you are looking for a more high tech option with a built in air dryer and heated water the japanese style Toto SW2034-01 is a great option. Although more expensive than the Luxe Bidet Neo 120 and Luxe Bidet Neo 320 and it does require a connection to an electrical outlet.

If you want the Tesla Model S or Lamborghini of bidet’s Toto makes a very high end model the Toto Washlet S350e. This model pre-mists the toilet to prevent waste from adhering to the toilet seat. It also has a built in deodorizer and has an overall more low profile design.
